Kherson port water area terminals are one of the transshipment centers of the foraging group of grain and oilseed crops processing products. Kherson terminals offer accumulation and transshipment services through covered floor warehouses, which are more efficient for working with sunflower meal, sf cake, and other processed products.
As for the transshipment volumes of these cargoes, due to the delayed harvesting company and, consequently, delayed processing, Kherson is still behind the 2020 indicators, having transshipped 743 thousand tons in 10 months of 2021 against 905 thousand tons over the same period of last year. However, in recent weeks, there has been a significant increase in the dynamics of cargo delivery to Kherson terminals.
The lack of storage space at all terminals and record sunflower and corn yields suggest that the volume of transshipment will reach last year’s level of 1,138 thousand tons by the end of the year.
Among all terminals working in the Kherson port water area, the Maxigrain terminal offers its clients the greatest opportunities for accumulation and transshipment of processed products thanks to floor storages.
We remind that there are 14 of them, with a total area of over 30,000 sq.m., in addition, there are silo storages for 6000 tons and equipment for grain drying and cleaning.
